Installation guide

Add MemoryDensity to your device and set up notifications.

MemoryDensity runs in your browser. You do not need an App Store download. For the best experience—and to enable push notifications on iPhone—you can add it to your Home Screen.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

Push notifications on iOS require opening MemoryDensity from your Home Screen, not from a regular Safari tab.

  1. Tap the share icon in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen.
  2. Open MemoryDensity from your Home Screen.
  3. Enable push notifications in Settings or during onboarding.

If you opened this page in Chrome, Firefox, or another browser on iOS, switch to Safari first: Open this page in Safari to sign in and enable push notifications.

Android (Chrome)

  • Open MemoryDensity in Chrome.
  • Tap the menu (three dots) and choose Add to Home screen or Install app when prompted.
  • Open MemoryDensity from your Home Screen.
  • Enable push notifications during onboarding or in Settings.

If you are reading this inside another app's browser (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), open it in Chrome first: Open this page in Chrome to enable push notifications.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

  • Sign in at MemoryDensity in your browser.
  • Look for an install icon in the address bar, or use the browser menu to install or add the app.
  • Push notifications work in supported desktop browsers after you allow them during onboarding or in Settings.

Links from other apps

Social apps and email clients often open links in an in-app browser. These browsers may block sign-in or push notifications.

  • iOS: Open this page in Safari to sign in.
  • Android: Open this page in Chrome to sign in.
  • Other: Open this page in your browser to sign in.

For notifications specifically: Open this page in your browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) to enable push notifications.

Email reminders instead

Push notifications are optional. During onboarding or in Settings, choose daily email reminders instead. You will receive your evening prompt by email at the time you choose.

Troubleshooting

  • No install prompt? Make sure you are using a supported browser. On iOS, only Safari can add to Home Screen.
  • Push still unavailable on iPhone? Confirm you opened MemoryDensity from your Home Screen icon, not from a browser tab.
  • Already installed? Open the app from your Home Screen, go to Settings, and enable notifications there.
